If you’ve ever wanted to get paid to listen, this might be your lane. Maximus, a leading federal contractor supporting the CDC, is hiring a remote Quality Assurance Analyst (QA) for their CDC INFO program, and yes, this one is fully work-from-home.
This isn’t your average call center role. You’re not taking calls — you’re monitoring them. You’ll be the quiet force behind the scenes making sure agents are providing accurate, high-quality information to the public. Think: no scripts to memorize, no back-to-back calls — just focused listening, scoring, and reporting.
This is a temporary remote position, but it’s a serious opportunity for anyone who wants to get their foot in the door with Maximus and federal-level programs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Listen to and evaluate calls and emails handled by customer service agents
- Score interactions using official CDC and Maximus quality guidelines
- Track patterns and provide written feedback on agent performance
- Identify trends and report them to leadership
- Join calibration sessions with the CDC and internal teams
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
This role is semi-routine — meaning you’ll follow structured procedures but still use judgment when something feels off. You’ll be trusted to notice what others miss.
What You’ll Need
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (customer service, call center, quality assurance, or similar)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable providing objective written evaluations
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
You’ll need your own setup:
- Computer or laptop (Windows 10/11 or Mac OS Big Sur+, no tablets or Chromebooks)
- Headset with microphone and reliable monitor
- Hardwired ethernet connection with at least 25 Mbps download speed
- Private, quiet workspace
Schedule & Pay
This position requires flexibility — weekends and holidays may be needed.
The hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST.
(Maximus has not listed a public pay range for this role, but similar QA positions with federal contracts typically range between $17–$23 per hour depending on experience and location.)
Why This Role Matters
Every call monitored under this program helps protect public health and maintain trust in one of the most important information lines in the country. You’re not just listening for mistakes — you’re ensuring accuracy when it matters most.
If you want meaningful work without the stress of constant calls, this is your chance. It’s quiet, detailed, and high-impact.
