A new full-time remote opportunity is now hiring for an E-Referral Specialist role in the home healthcare field. This position is ideal for someone who’s highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing multiple systems at once.
As an E-Referral Specialist, you will be the first point of contact in the referral process. Your main goal will be to help ensure patients are set up for care in a timely, efficient, and compliant manner. You’ll monitor e-referral platforms, gather patient data, communicate with internal teams, and help ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring multiple e-referral systems and email for new referral requests
- Performing follow-ups and managing communications regarding referrals
- Reviewing documents to determine service eligibility based on criteria like insurance or service area
- Updating referral tracking logs and submitting reports
- Collaborating with team members by email or phone to ensure smooth scheduling and follow-up
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and HIPAA privacy standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year in customer service or healthcare-related experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple systems
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of Medicare and home health agency guidelines preferred
- Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute
Additional Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
