What’s This Job All About?
You’ll be working as a Customer Care Representative (aka “universal agent”), and your main job is simple:
- Answer inbound calls from customers, caregivers, or referral sources
- Help people place orders or reorders for medical supplies
- Assist with any issues, concerns, or questions about products, orders, or shipping
- Collect payment info and ensure the orders are processed properly
- Use multiple systems while you talk to customers
You’ll average around 60 to 80 calls per day, so you’ll need to be comfortable multitasking and staying professional even when it gets busy.
Is Training Provided?
Yes. Training is fully paid and takes place Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm EST. Attendance is mandatory — so don’t plan any mid-day errands.
Once you finish training, you’ll participate in a “shift bid” — basically, you’ll be assigned your permanent schedule based on availability and business needs.
You must be flexible to work any shift between 8am–9pm EST, including Saturdays.
Is It Fully Remote?
Yes, you’ll be working 100% from home. But this is not a “take your laptop to Starbucks” kind of role. You’ll need:
- A quiet, distraction-free workspace
- A high-speed wired internet connection (WiFi is not allowed)
- A surge protector with network protection
Cardinal Health will provide the equipment, but you are responsible for ensuring your internet setup meets the technical requirements. If your connection isn’t strong enough, you may need to upgrade or switch providers.
What’s the Pay?
The pay range is $15.75 to $18.50 per hour, depending on experience. This job is not bonus-eligible, but the benefits are strong and include:
